Matahari The Label is a Bali-born fashion brand rooted in femininity, comfort, and conscious design.
Founded by two women with a professional modeling background, Matahari was created from years spent inside the fashion industry - fitting rooms, photoshoots, runways, and production processes. This experience shaped a deep understanding of how clothing should feel, move, and fit on real bodies. Every design is approached with sensitivity to proportions, comfort, and confidence - garments meant to be lived in, not just worn.
Bali is not only where Matahari is produced, but where the brand was born. The island’s slower pace, connection to nature, and hands-on production environment allow us to stay close to every stage of creation - from fabric selection to final fitting. This proximity gives us control, flexibility, and the freedom to prioritize quality over speed.
Our designs are intentionally timeless. Rather than following fast-changing trends, we focus on refined silhouettes, thoughtful details, and a lasting aesthetic that remains relevant beyond seasons. Each piece is created to hold its place in a woman’s wardrobe for years, not moments.
Matahari The Label follows a small-batch production model. We intentionally avoid overproduction, releasing limited quantities and carefully analyzing demand rather than chasing hype. This approach allows us to reduce waste while maintaining consistency in design and quality.
As part of our philosophy, we continuously reimagine existing designs and work with deadstock fabrics whenever possible, giving new life to materials and past pieces instead of contributing to excess production.
